2. CLC-ONUm Simulation and SCHOOL NATIONS FAIR This year the CLC carries out its first UNO – United Nations Organization – simulation, with the CLC–ONUm Project aimed at students in levels US3 and US4. The simulation is based on the MUN (Model United Nations).

3. Our United Nations Organization Model has been named CLC-ONUm (m for model, simulation). It aims at helping the students to think, in a realistic way, on how the United Nations (UNO) work by being diplomats for a day,

4. discussing central issues to the international agenda such as human rights, the environment, security, economy, among others. The official language is English, with the students developing the following abilities: speaking, listening, writing, use of English and reading.

15. Students´ procedure at the CLC- ONUm Simulation The fear of public speaking is one of the most common phobias. Almost everybody is frightened by the Idea. However, the oratory is and indispensable tool for a student lawyer.

16. There is a rule to be followed by the good speaker: twice as slow, twice as loud. It sounds like a joke, but you will be surprised (and will surprise your friends and teacher) when you find out how efficient this rule is. You should not be afraid to pause for a few seconds during the speech, for these pauses may have a dramatic effect and catch the committee’s attention.

21. Second moment School Nations Fair It will be held at CLC Anexo after the CLC-ONUm simulation. This will be a relaxing moment when students will be at the cultural stand prepared for the country they represent, helping to further develop the motivation and diffusion of the different cultures.

22. Teachers who will be appointed to the various stands will carry out the evaluation. This evaluation, together with the performance at the CLC-ONUm simulation, will add to the school grade for the third term of the school year. English will continue being the official language. 23. System of assessment for the speaking grade 03 Teachers will visit the stands for evaluation of the students work. The total grade will be an average of the presentation of the CLC-ONUm simulation plus the evaluation at the stands in the School Nations Fair. The grade for the presentation will be individual.
