3 Cedar Riverside Health Commons is located in Cedar Riverside, a diverse, vibrant neighborhood in South Minneapolis Serves as a port of entry for immigrants since the late 19th century. Over 10,000 residents live in low income high rise complex 60% of the residents are Somali. 12 Role of Community Liaisons Actively participate in daily operations of the Health Commons. Collaborate to ensure participants receive adequate information about health and community resources. Conduct outreach to the community to educate them about the Commons Co-facilitate workshops, fitness classes Advocate and ensure participants have the needed connections to social services, health services and community resources.
