What is Phi Chi Theta’s Purpose? To Promote the cause of higher business education and training for all individuals To Stimulate the spirit of sacrifice and unselfish devotion to the attainment of such ends To Encourage fraternity and cooperation among people preparing for such careers. To Foster high ideals for everyone pursuing a career in business We are a National Professional Coed Business Fraternity that seeks to do the following:

Professional Business Speakers Professional trips to Major cities Plant Tours Resume Book Compete in the Chapter Awards Program National and Regional Conferences Research Projects Social Banquets Bowling Nights Cookouts Intramural Sports Various other events Service Food, toy, clothing drives WE CARE and Carl Perkins Center Various other school and community events

Who can join? Business Majors Accounting Economics – any concentration Information Systems Management Marketing Business Education International Business Political Science: Public Administration Students with at least a 2.5 cumulative GPA Students with at least 15 credit hours Cannot have ever been a member of Alpha Kappa Psi

Member Responsibilities Attend meetings Participate in discussions Vote on issues Participate in chapter functions Pay all dues and fees promptly Recruit Follow the Purpose and Mission Statement

The Pledge Process 1. Receiving Your Bid 2. Accepting your bid – by Mon., Feb. 9 3. Induction – Tues., Feb. 10 @ 12:20 4. Pledge Meetings – each Tuesday 5. Complete Your Pledge Book 6. Pass All Tests 7. Social Activity with Actives 8. Fundraiser 9. Service Event 11. Initiation Ceremony 10. Press release photograph

Financial Responsibilities As a Pledge: Pledge Dues: $10 – due when you accept your bid Initiation Fee and Dues: $100 – due March 23 Total: $110 – all to National Office Actives: National Dues: $60 – due each fall semester Chapter Dues: $40 – each spring semester

Bid Card Procedure 1.Go to Tenna Bynum’s office, BA 102 - (starting tomorrow) 2.Find your bid card. 3.Remove and keep the date card. 4.Sign the acceptance card. 5.Place the acceptance card and $10 back inside the envelope, seal it, and drop it in the box (by Feb. 9). 6.Come to the induction ceremony in business attire – Tuesday, Feb. 10 @ 12:20 in BA 203.
