2  Working in an accounting department can be very stressful and challenging. More so, when the turnover rate of a company is very high and new people are basically left on their own to understand the process. As many people know, keeping up with the daily sales, journal entries and posting to ledgers are some of the key factors for the accounting books but are not the only ones.

3  As an employee for an accounting department you would need to be train in accounting software. Here we are going to instruct the current and future employees on a software that will help you understand the accounting process.

4  At the end of the training program, employees will have the confidence to navigate and understand the major functionalities of Ms QuickBooks.  The employee will gain the knowledge to create invoices and keep better track of the company’s records.  This financial tool program will help provide more efficient and suitable reports that will allow them to see the comparison between executive year and even months.

18  The target audience for this web-based training will be current and future employees in the accounting department.  The learners will possess the basic skills for the software QuickBooks to access the accounting information for the company.

19  The intended instructional setting will be primarily in the workplace setting, specifically in the accounting department.  In a campus for the accounting majors.

20  Introduction: (a) Overview of Training: Welcome to this online training where you will learn how to access an accounting software; where you are going to learn how to enter data, get data, and evaluate the data.

21  Introduction: (b) Statement of Goal and Objectives After completing this online tutorial you will be able to: Enter customers, vender, employees and company’s information. Do the payroll and pay income taxes. Reconcile the books for the month. Close the Month Access monthly reports and evaluate them.

22  Introduction: (c) What does the Online Training Include? The online tutorial consists of five lessons. At the end of each lessons you will have a practice quiz to see if you understand the lesson. Each quiz will consist of an issue of a company.

23  Lesson 1: MS QuickBooks 2007 ◦ The learner will learn to input customers, vendors, employees, and company’s information in QuickBooks. ◦ The lesson will be introduce in presentations and in clip art to show how to do it.

24  Lesson 2: Payroll ◦ The learner will have step by step information and clip art on how to enter the information that the employee worked. ◦ It will have a video on how to enter the information and how to print it ◦ It will also explain how to get the payroll reports in order to pay 941 taxes.

25  Lesson 3: Reconciliation Process ◦ The learner will have practice bank statements to accomplish the reconciliation process. Its will take you step by step information on how to accomplish it. ◦ The learner will have clip art pictures of the QuickBooks page to show you how to do it.

26  Lesson 4: Closing of the Month ◦ The learner will have step by step information on how to end the month and how to close it.  Lesson 5: Process Monthly Reports ◦ The learner will be able to access monthly reports to evaluate how the company is doing. The training will come with some module of how the reports should be.

27  Summary: The learner will be able to establish well knowledge in QuickBooks and will be able to have web site in order to get more information about QuickBooks and other software.  Assessment: The final assessment will be to do the final exam which will be a problem with all 5 lessons to see if the learner accomplish his training.

33  My sister that is a accounting teacher is going to implemented in the classroom to see how it can help the students understand the accounting process.  I am going to provide my sister a survey on how it help her in her classroom.

34  The proposed online instructional tutorial will allow the company and its employees to be more successful in the financial tracking end of their business through the use of the Microsoft QuickBooks program. This will also help any students in the accounting department to learn more hands on the accounting process.
