Where the NAC operates The NAC focuses on 8 sites* across the U.S. Our national, nonpartisan citizenship campaign is focused on eight major cities across the country with more than 40 percent of the pool of citizenship-eligible residents. *NAC partners such as IRC and NPNA also operate in over 2 dozen additional sites, making this one of the largest naturalization collaborations in the United States. NAC partners support aspiring citizens through a range of naturalization assistance services: Provide information about the requirements and process to become a US citizen Assist people in completing their naturalization application If applicable, help applicants request a fee waiver Provide pro-bono legal support Refer applicants to ESL and share other important resources Support ongoing naturalization work including group workshops, complex legal cases, and CitizenshipWorks pilots Our Work NewAmericansCampaign.org 7

10. When new Americans gain the rights, freedoms and responsibilities of citizenship, they contribute more fully to the vitality of our communities and our democracy as a whole. More than eight million immigrants currently qualify for citizenship based on their “green card” status, which allows them to live and work in the U.S. on a permanent basis. 11. STABILITY Naturalization leads to more stable, cohesive families and communities. Value of Citizenship ECONOMICS Naturalization increases individual spending power by up to 15 percent.
