Norvegija – Šiaurės pašvaistė The Birth of Jesus Luke, Chapter 2 Nov 2009 He YanMusic: snowdream
3
In those days, a decree went out from Emperor Augustus that all the world should be registered.
4
All went to their towns to be registered. Joseph also went from the town of Nazareth in Galilee to Judea, the city of David, called Bethlehem.
5
Because he was descended from the house and family of David. He went to be registered with Mary, to whom he was engaged, and was expecting a child.
6
While they were there, the time came for her to deliver her child. And she gave birth to her first son and wrapped him in bands of cloth, and laid him in a manager.
7
Because there was no room for them in the inn.
9
In that region, there were shepherds living in the fields, keeping watch over their flocks by night. Then an angel of the Lord stood before them,
10
And the glory of the Lord shone around them and they were terrified. But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid;
11
For see – I am bringing you good news of great joy for all the people: To you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, who is the Messiah, the Lord.
12
This is a sign for you: you will find a child wrapped in bands of cloth, lying in a manager.” And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of heavenly hosts,
13
Praising God and saying, “Glory to God in the highest heaven, and on earth peace among those whom he favours.”
14
When the angles had left them and gone into heaven, the shepherds said to one another, “Let us go now to Bethlehem and see this thing that has taken place, which the Lord has made known to us.”
15
So they went in haste and found Mary and Joseph, and the child, lying in the manager.
16
When the saw this, they made known what had been told them about this child,
17
And all whom heard it were amazed at what the shepherds told them. But Mary treasured all these words and pondered them in her heart.
18
The shepherd returned, glorifying and praising God for all they had heard and seen, as it had been told to them.
19
After eight days had passed, it was time to circumcise the child; and he was called Jesus, the name given by the angel before he was conceived in the womb..
20
A Christmas hymn honouring the Christ child. Hark the heralds angels sing, “Glory to the new born king, Peace on earth and mercy mild
21
God and sinner reconciled.” Joyful, all ye nations rise Join the triumph of the skies With the angelic host proclaim,
22
Christ is born in Bethlehem. Hark! The herald angels sing Glory to the new born King!
23
May the blessings of Christmas be with you always…
