1 Circular layered structures Long/lat: 1- 341.18E, 23.98N 2- 340.95E, 24.05N 3- 340.88E, 24.04N 4- 340.86E, 24.01N 5- 341.11E, 24.09N 6- 341.45E, 24.02N Rational: These structures are likely due to impacts that happened during the deposition process, and hence that have been filled by later layers. We see the remnants of these filled and eroded layers. More smaller, similar features are seen in the ellipse and may be interesting targets along potential traverses. These features depict particular depositional environment compared to the rest of the clay- layers. Morphology & mineralogy: Some circular, layered structures are present inside the clay- layered unit. #1 is much larger than the others and show more layers. The structures are at different levels in the compositional stratigraphy. MSL tasks: At large scale, study the layering, the difference with the rest of the layered unit. At small scale, study the layering, the grain structure, the mineralogy and chemistry of the rocks, any particularity of these features compared to the rest of the unit.
