2 Definition: An analogy is a comparison between two things that are alike in some way, but are otherwise NOT alike. Often, writers use analogies to explain unfamiliar subjects or ideas in terms of familiar ones.

3 Analogy Questions In an analogy question, the analogy is expressed using two group of words. The relationship between the first pair of words is the same as the relationship between the second pair of words. Some analogy questions are expressed like this: love : hate :: war : battle (is to) (as) (is to)

What other pair of words have that relationship? 3.A shoe is an item of clothing that covers a foot.
