Eyes: focused on front of rim or square of backboard. Follow Through: legs extend, shooting arm extends up by ear, wrist flicks to provide back spin. 3 I can shoot a basketball with proper form in a teacher controlled setting using the following cues (BEEF acronym): Balance: feet shoulder width apart, knees slightly bent ball balanced on pads of fingers, space between ball and palm guide hand offers support Elbow: shooting elbow is in front of body and below the ball, lined up with knee.
