2 Don’t Give Up On Your Mums In Tulip Season He says, “Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth" (Psalm 46:10). I am convinced that we give up too easily. We want everything quick, fast, and in a hurry. No one wants to wait anymore. We want what we want when we want it, and how we want it. However, haste has no blessing. It is tulip season! Look around. Tulips are everywhere, little ones, and big ones. Tulips really beautify the landscape this time of year with an array of vibrant red, lavender, purple, orange, pink, and yellow colors. I encourage you to just be still. Stop and smell the roses! Thank God for your roses, your lilies, and your tulips. Take some time this Spring to observe the beauty of the tulip, while you wait on your autumn mums! Tulips beautify your garden, just like mums. God didn't have to give them to you, but He did! We serve a good God who knows what to give and just when too give it. Even Jesus tiptoed through the tulips, or shall I say the lilies. In Matthew 6:28-31, Jesus observing the lilies stated, “See how the lilies of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you, o you of little faith?” Meditate on the Word of God. Let it strengthen you. Psalms 62:1 states, “My soul finds rest in God alone; my salvation comes from him..” Psalms 46:10 states, “ Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth." Pray persistently this spring and summer about your autumn "mums," your hopes, dreams, goals, and aspirations for the future. I'm a living witness of what God will do when you just be still, discover the beauty in each season, and trust God’s perfect timing. Don't give up on your mums in tulip season! Min. 3 A Prayer for Patience Heavenly Father, Thank you for your mercy and your grace. We know and understand that without You there is no us. Father, there is nothing and no one greater than You. Lord, we will continue to praise You not just because, but because you are the Great I AM. No matter what we are going through, You are there and the storms never last long. Father, you said ask and we shall receive, seek and we shall find. We have the free will to embrace you, to talk to you, to come to you because you won't fail. No matter what the situation is, You are a problem solver. You are a peace maker. You are a healer, Father. We are your children. Guide us. Father, Psalm 119:105 says, "Your Word is a lamp to my feet And a light to my path." Father, our hearts, minds, and souls are open to You. Teach us your way. Teach of patience. Ecclesiastes 7:8 says, "The patient in spirit is better than the proud in spirit," and Romans 5:3-4 says, "But we glory in tribulation also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience; and patience, experience; and experience, hope." Hebrews 10:36 says, "For you have need of patience, that after you have done the will of God, you might receive the promise." Pave the path that we shall walk. In the mighty name of Jesus, Amen. 4 Time Out And Be Still Therese Warrick, Sisters Road to Freedom, Lexington, KY Therese Warrick, Sisters Road to Freedom, Lexington, KY As we celebrate women, my hat goes off to women of God who are making a positive difference at home, at school, at work, at church and in their communities. However, even God's women get discouraged; get tired; get hell on the job and off the job; and get stricken with sickness. A God's woman knows that when all hell breaks loose, she has to take time out and just be still so she can get that Word and receive that blessing from the Lord. When we are in dire need of help, when the enemy is attacking from every side, when lies are told on us, when sickness overtakes our bodies, we just need to be still. We do not need to take on everything and everyone all by ourselves. God is bigger than any Superman or Superwoman. Psalm 46:10 tells us, "Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth" (KJV). When we are still, we are able to hear God's answer, we are able to receive HIS blessing, and we are able to interpret and understand HIS Word. When we are still, God will be glorified through our stillness because we are letting go and letting HIM be God all by Himself. Sisters, we know that we have responsibilities like no other. However, sometimes God just wants us to be still so HE can take care of us, spiritually, physically, financially, and emotionally. When we take time out, we can go to the Lord in prayer. The Apostle Paul encourages us in Philippians 4:6-7 to "Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus" (KJV). Glory. When we are still, and let God, our hearts and our minds will be stayed on Jesus Christ! We will have that peace that is even unspeakable. Hallelujah! Sisters, it is okay for us to take off our "Super Mom" or "Superwoman" cape. You see, God is the only SUPER! Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day and for ever. (Hebrews 13:8, KJV) Amen.

5 A Prayer for Grandmothers Heavenly Father, Heavenly Father, We praise you, God for our grandparents who are raising our grandchildren. Father, help us to appreciate and celebrate the lives of these inspirational virtuous women who have so much love for their families. She is a woman who is fearfully and wonderfully made in the image of God (Psalm 139:14). She is a reflection of a proverbs 31 woman who does everything she can to protect, love and care for her children. Thank you God for her faithfulness, her tenacity, to never give up. Father, thank you for her fruit of the spirit, the patience to wait on you, God. Father, thank you for the joy she shares to lift and bring life to others. Father, thank you for gentleness and meekness she sustains to keep the peace. Thank you for her inner spirit that dwells in the air and changes the atmosphere when she walks in the room. Right now in the name of Jesus, we lift up grandmothers for all that you are doing, the sacrifices that they have made to make this world a better place for our children. We appreciate your love and kindness and we deeply are embraced by your wisdom and knowledge that has been shared toward us. Father, we pray for bountiful blessings to fall on our grandmothers. We pray for the windows of heaven to open up and pour blessings they want have room to receive. In Jesus Name. Amen. Rev. Syvoskia Bray Pope, New Life Ministries, Louisville, KY Rev. 6 See Yourself As God Sees You "She gave this name to the Lord who spoke to her: 'You are the God who sees me," for she said, 'I have now seen the One who sees me'" Gen. 16:13. Hagar was an Egyptian slave of Abram's wife Sarai. When it looked like God's promise of a son was not coming to pass for the barren and aged Sarai, she gave Hagar to her husband as a "surrogate wife," and Hagar bore Abram a son named Ishmael. After Hagar became pregnant, Sarai treated her cruelly. In Genesis 16, a pregnant Hagar ran away to the dessert due to Sarai's constant mistreatment. The story of Hagar is timely tailored to show us three we should do to begin to see ourselves in our circumstances: Admit Our Sins –The angel asked Hagar, “Where have you come from and where are you going?” God sees our sin and He knows the answer to every question He asks. It’s up to you to provide the correct answer. Admit your sins. The bible says in 1 John 1:9, “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.” Hagar admitted, “I am running away from my mistress Sarai” (v8). Submit to God – Hagar’s plan had nothing to do with her returning back to her abusive circumstance and everything to do with her running as far away from Sarai as she could run. This invisible African slave woman who had no authority came face to face with the Invisible God with all authority. The angel of the Lord told her, “Go back to your mistress and submit to her” and “I will so increase you descendants that they will be too numerous to count” (v9). God allowed Hagar to see herself for the first time through His eyes. She gave God a new name, 'You are the God who sees me," for she said, 'I have now seen the One who sees me.'“ Don’t Quit – Hagar did not quit not because her circumstance had changed, but because her perspective had changed. God opened her eyes to reveal who she was, a woman pregnant with destiny. The Lord blessed Hagar. He will bless you, too when you admit, submit, and don’t quit. See yourself as God sees you. Listen to God’s soft whisper in Psalm 46:10, “Be still and know that I am God.” Min. Angela Lee Price, Jesus Saves Ministries, Louisville, KY Min. 8 About Jesus Saves Ministries Jesus Saves Ministries was founded August 12, 2005 by Min. Angela Lee Price. Jesus Saves Ministries shares the saving grace of Jesus Christ from an African American perspective by helping to demonstrate the power and relevancy of the Cross in the 21st century. Jesus Saves Ministries addresses topics of concern to the Black Church and African American communities through a world-wide internet ministry, and by presenting workshops, seminars, conferences, and special events. Secondly, the ministry raises public awareness of aberrant and heretical teachings adversely affecting Christians and non-believers alike, false teachings, cults, and the occult for Acts 4:12 states, “Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved.“ Min. Angela is an associate minister at St. Stephen Church, Louisville, Kentucky. She has a Bachelor of Arts in Communication from the University of Louisville, a Bachelor of Theology from Simmons College of Kentucky, and is currently pursuing a Master of Theology degree from Campbellsville University. This social network is for the socially conscious, for those with a heart for social justice, and for anyone concerned about their horizontal and well as their vertical relationship with the Lord. It is free to become a member — set up your own web page, participate in group and forum discussions. Our 2012 ministry theme is “WWW.
