2 What was the triangular slave trade?

3 How did the triangular slave trade impact the people of Latin America, Europe, and Africa? Europeans were made wealthy African people were enslaved. Native people were enslaved and died of European diseases.

4 What happened to the indigenous people of Latin America that necessitated the African slave trade? Indigenous people died of diseases that the European people brought with them. The result was a need for labor to work on the plantations that the Europeans had created in Latin America.

5 Why were African slaves brought to the Americas? They were brought as sources of labor to replace the indigenous source that was dying out.

6 How did the African slavery influence the economic and cultural development of the Americas? Many of the African people were good farmers which brought the slave owners great wealth. The African people provided their contribution to the culture as their values and cultural influence was blended with the culture of Latin America.

7 How did the injustice of slavery lead to the revolutionary uprisings for freedom in Latin America? Many of the freedom movements sparked a desire by others to be free. Any mistreatment only made the desire for freedom that much more intense.
