2 WHAT IS HALLOWEEN? Halloween is a festivity celebrated mainly in the U.S.A on the night of October 31. It was held in Anglo-Saxon countries, but the expansive force of U.S.A culture, Halloween has been popular in other Western countries.

3 THE ORIGIN Halloween has its origins in the Celtic festival of Samhain and the Christian feast of All Saints Day. In large part, is a secular celebration although some believe that has a religious undertone. The word Halloween is a derivation of the phrase All Hallow's Eve. Formerly, the Celts believed that the line between this world with the Underworld opened in the day of Samhain (Halloween), allowing good and evil spirits, to pass through.

4 TRADITIONS AND SYMBOLS
The day is often associated with orange and black colors and is strongly linked to symbols like the Jack-o'-lantern. Typical activities include the famous Halloween trick or treating to ask for some sweets in the houses, organise horror parties, visiting haunted houses, jokes, reading scary stories and viewing horror films.

5 TRICK OR TREAT Trick or Treat originally was a legend that not only the spirits of the dead were free to roam the earth on Halloween night. Among them was a terribly bad, Jack-o-lantern, wandering through the villages, going from house to house demanding "trick or treat." The legend says that without a pact with the spirit he would use his powers to curse the house and its inhabitants. To protect the idea of creating horrendous forms of pumpkins, so avoid running the spectrum.

6 THE JACK-O-LANTENR THE STORY
A jack-o'-lantern is a pumpkin made by the hands and is the tipical symbol of Halloween. Its real name is Wisp.  THE STORY Once upon a time there was a man called Jack that make trips with the demon and one day they discussed and the demon kills the man. When he was in the ski Saint Peter let him in by his previous life and he sent to the hell. And in the hell let him too and thy sentenced to walk the roads with a pumpkin empty with a burning candle inside and that was the only light to guide in his eternal walking between the realms of good and evil.

7 THIS IS OUR JACK-O-LANTERN
HOW WE DO A JACK-O-LANTERN? To make a jack-o'-lantern you take off the top of the pumpkin, then extract the pulp, and finally you cut a face on the lateral of the pumpkin and when is finished you put a candle inside. THIS IS OUR JACK-O-LANTERN

8 TIPICAL DISHES The tipical food of halloween are things prepared whith pumpking, like cakes, soups, or things like that. Is tipical tooo to eat dishes with horror forms.

9 Pumpkin cake Ingredients: 1 Yogurt 200 gr Pumpkin 200 gr flour
200 gr Sugar 3 eggs 150 gr butter Cinnamon, vanilla and lemon zest 1.5 royal envelopes yeast

10 Preparation Take off the pulp, scratch and cook 25 minutes to steam.
Grate lemon rind In a bowl put all ingredients and beat with mixer In a buttered bowl, pour the mixture and put in oven at 180 º for 30 minutes
