SETTINGCHARACTERS  John’s house  In his clubhouse  In John’s backyard  Most of the story takes place at his house.  John  Steve  John’s mom  All of these characters are alike because they’re upset about something.

 John gets really mad when he doesn’t get what he wants. He is greedy because he doesn’t want to share his mom with Steve. He has yellow hair and brown eyes. He is about 5 feet tall and and 10 years old. He likes to be outside and he likes to have fun playing sports with friends. He seems to be curious when he is wondering about something. He was wondering if he could do anything about their relationship.

 The problem in this story was that John did not want his mom to marry Steve. The way he solved the problem was he got to know Steve and realized that he is not so bad. John learned you can’t judge people until you know them. I learned the same thing.

 I am reading Looking For Dad by Ellen Frances. It’s a realistic fiction book. It’s about a boy that is getting a new dad and he does not like it.  I like this book and I will recommend it to my friends because they like books with lots of feelings.

 Text to text = In the book, John goes to his clubhouse when he is upset, which reminds me of my clubhouse that I go to when my brothers wont leave me alone.  Text to world = There was a guy smoking and I have saw a guy smoking on TV.  Text to text = John fakes being sick. My friend Matt does that when he does not want to go to school.
