Because of Figs By: Ann CameronBy: David #11
Characters Julian: Julian gets a small fig tree for his birthday. Julian is Huey’s little brother. Dad: Dad acts really mean, but he tells a lot of jokes and stories.
Setting The story takes place outside in the backyard.
First Julian got a fig tree for his birthday.
Next The fig tree was not growing because Julian was eating the leaves off the fig tree. He thought it would make him grow taller.
Then In two years, Julian grew four inches, but the tree did not grow.
Finally Julian stopped eating the leaves and the fig tree grew taller and taller and taller and taller.
Personal Review I liked the story because I, David#11, like figs. I like them because they taste good. I would recommend this story to others.
