2 World War One had just ended, so people needed something new. Radios were now available for the average American, so sports were more easily to follow. The working force was changing, so now more people had more leisure time, so citizens spent their time following sports.

3 Also, new laws were passed limiting working hours. In schools, sports teams were formed. All this increased America’s Love for sports.

4 One of the sports which became more popular in the 1920s was Baseball. It became increasingly popular because major league baseball was now broadcasted on the radio.

6 Before the 1920s, Boxing was banned in the United States. In 1920, the Walker Law was introduced in New York, making Boxing legal!

7 Jack Dempsey was the most famous boxer in the 1920s. Boxers were paid 2 million dollars in the 1920s.

9 In the 1920s, Women became more and more involved in sports. Women became especially involved in sports such as Tennis, Golf, and Swimming.

13 People were more health conscious. More money spent on sport items, boosting the sports economy. More equality between genders.
