3. ERA 5.0 Framework Installation Process.

4. ERA 5.0
There will be 2 Content loader DVD’s each for MSCIT ERA 5 and WAVE ERA 5
The framework is common for both MSCIT & WAVE
Content for MSCIT as well as WAVE Courses can be loaded once the Framework for ERA 5 is Installed at your center
WAVE Learning as well as MSCIT learning will be done in ERA 5 framework only
Also the Learners for both MSCIT & WAVE can be downloaded from the same Learning Facilitator login

5. ERA 5.0 Installation>Server Prerequisites
Please Ensure the Following before Installation
That the server machine in your computer lab is being used to install MKCL’s ERA 5.0 (Physical server machine)
Operating system should be either
Win XP with SP 3 with IIS version 5.1 or Higher or
Windows Server 2003 with SP 2 IIS version 5.1 or Higher
Microsoft SQL Server 2008 Express R2
Microsoft .NET Framework 4.0
That the C drive (Root Drive) is having minimum 16 GB free space as per the recommended hardware setup. Free space required for loading a course depends on the actual size of the course content.

6. ERA 5.0 Installation>Server Prerequisites
Please Ensure the Following before Installation
That the server machine is connected to Internet for Framework Activation and Learner Data Downloading.
That you are Installing ERA 5.0 from a login which has the Administrative privileges.
That you have Flash Player installed on the machines in order to view the eContent properly

7. ERA 5.0 Installation>Server Prerequisites
Please Ensure the Following before Installation
That you are Installing ERA 5.0 by keeping the installer CD/DVD in the respective drive of the server machine itself.
That you have Internet Information Service (IIS) version 5.1 or higher installed on the server machine. IIS installation needs the respective Operating System installation CD

8. ERA 5.0 Installation > Client Prerequisites
Please Ensure the Following before Installation of QOES client
Operating system should be either
Windows XP with SP3 OR
Windows Server 2003 with SP2 OR
Windows Vista SP1 or later
Microsoft .NET Framework 4.0
IIS v5.1 or later
Windows Installer 3.1
Windows Installer 4.5
Report viewer 10
Crystal Report
Internet Explorer version 7.0 with SP1 or later
IF Crystal Report, Report Viewer 10 and .NET is not installed on a client machine. Learners will not be able to solve IPT’s & Try IT on that client machine.

9. ERA 5.0 Framework Installation
Insert the Single click ERA 5.0 Framework Installation DVD provided to you in the DVD-ROM.
Open the DVD and then double click the autorun.exe file which will present the adjacent screen to you.

10. ERA 5.0 PREREQUISITE Installation
Following pre-requisites will get installed from ERA 5.0 Framework Installation CD
.NET Framework 4.0
Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2 express
Click on “Accept” button when the two adjacent window appears to continue the Installation.

11. ERA 5.0 PREREQUISITE Installation
If .NET Framework 4.0 is not installed earlier in your machine, then installer will start the installation of .NET 4.0 Framework
If .NET 4.0 is already Installed on your system, the installer will then directly proceed to Install SQL Server 2008 R2 Express

12. ERA 5.0 PREREQUISITE Installation
For SQL Server 2008 R2 Express adjacent screens will appear
The process will continue automatically

13. ERA 5.0 PREREQUISITE Installation
Please be patient as SQL Server Installation will take mins.
Adjacent screen will appear before you while installation is in process

14. ERA 5.0 FRAMEWORK Installation
Click on Next button to continue the installation of ERA 5.0.

15. ERA 5.0 FRAMEWORK Installation
Once all the prerequisites are over, the installation of ERA 5.0 will start & following screen will appear.

16. ERA 5.0 FRAMEWORK Installation
While ERA 5 Framework is getting installed, you will be asked to specify for Drive Network Mapping as shown below.
This is the path where your ERA 5 Backup will be stored, so do not skip this step.
Enter the Drive letter & then specify a shared folder in your server or any other system in the LAN where you wish to store the backup files

17. ERA 5.0 FRAMEWORK Installation
After ERA 5 Framework Installation is over following screens for copying Dummy Course Content will appear before you.

18. ERA 5.0 FRAMEWORK Installation
After ERA 5 Framework Installation is over following completion screen will appear before you.

19. ERA 5.0 QOES PREREQUISITE Installation
After ERA 5 Framework Installation is over , the Installer will ask for Installation of ERA 5.0 QOES Prerequisite as shown below
Click Here to continue with Prerequisite Installation of QOES

20. ERA 5.0 QOES PREREQUISITE Installation
Installation of SQL Server 2008 R2 for ERA 5.0 QOES will start and following screen will appear.

21. ERA 5.0 QOES PREREQUISITE Installation
After all the Prerequisite for QOES are Installed following message will appear.
Click on Install application to Proceed further
Click OK to continue

22. ERA 5.0 QOES PREREQUISITE Installation
The application for ERA 5.0 QOES will be installed on your system.
After the application is installed, a confirmation message as shown will be displayed

23. ERA 5.0 QOES PREREQUISITE Installation
Click on finish button to complete the installation.
After you click on finish button, all the Installation process is over and your next step will be the activation of ERA 5.0 framework

24. ERA 5.0 FRAMEWORK ACTIVATION
Use the icon present on the Desktop for accessing the Learning Facilitator Login
Or open the Learning facilitator login from Start >> Programs >> ERA 5 >> ERA 5 – Learning Facilitator
Click on Activate button to start activation process.
Click on Shortcut icon on desktop

25. ERA 5.0 FRAMEWORK ACTIVATION
Make sure that your are connected to internet while doing activation.
A message of successful activation shall be displayed if the Activation Key entered is correct.
Now you are ready to enter into the eLearning world!

26. ERA 5.0 FRAMEWORK ACTIVATION
Make sure that your are connected to internet
Internet connectivity is required while activation

Enter your Center Code and SOLAR Password

28. ERA 5.0 FRAMEWORK ACTIVATION
After successful Activation following message will come
Enter your Center Code and SOLAR Password to login as Learning Facilitator

Once the ERA 5.0 Framework is activated you can load the course contents.
Be ready with course CD/DVD.

31. ERA 5.0 Course Loading
Insert course CD/DVD in CD/DVD drive of your server machine on which ERA 5.0 framework is installed.
The setup shall run automatically

32. ERA 5.0 Course Loading
In case there is insufficient space on the drive to load the course, a message prompt shall be displayed. Please make provision for free space.

33. Once the ERA 5. 0 server and client application is installed
Once the ERA 5.0 server and client application is installed. You are ready to use ERA 5.0

34. ERA 5.0 UNINSTALLATION PROCESS

In case you need to Uninstall only ERA 5.0 framework you can uninstall it from the following path
Control Panel  Add or Remove Programs ERA 5

36. ERA 5.0 UNINSTALLATION
In case you need to Uninstall ERA 5.0 as well as its prerequisites you can uninstall it from the following path
Control Panel  Add or Remove Programs ERA 5
Control Panel  Add or Remove Programs Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2

37. Click Here to remove Microsoft SQL Sever 2008 R2
ERA 5.0 UNINSTALLATION
If you remove the Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2 following screen will appear

38. Click on OK button to continue

Click on the respective component you want to Uninstall( You can Uninstall either ERA 5 or ERAQOES5 SQL server at a time)

40. ERA 5.0 UNINSTALLATION Select first two check boxes only

41. Uninstall process will take about 30-45 mins

Once the Uninstallation in complete a message will be displayed as shown

Once you have removed the Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2 for either ERA 5 or ERAQOES, you again have to proceed in the similar manner as above for Uninstalling the SQL Server for either of the application
