7 Defensive Tackle Stance and Alignment 1.3 point stance, feet parallel or nearly. No more than toe-to-heel stagger. Stance is individualistic with flexibility allowed. 2.Shoulders parallel to the ground and LOS 3.Be able to see both offensive lineman (C-OG or OG-OT) 4.Feet up under you. 5.Distance from the ball will vary from individual to individual and from play to play. Responsibility 1.Be such a predominant factor in every play to force our opponent into a double team. 2.On outside plays, pursue flat, keep your feet, run to the ball. 3.Know pass and draw situations. 4.Move around. Cause confusion. Force guards and center to make calls.
