Manaviya Shiksha Sanskar Sansthan - Asha for Education Deepak Gupta, cofounder of Asha for Education with Sandeep, has started the Manaviya Shiksha Sanskar (MS3) project in Mandhana, near the Indian Institute of Technology at Kanpur. This project focuses on self-reliance achieved by following a certain way of living.

Manaviya Shiksha Sanskar Sansthan - Asha for Education Features of courses offered Course duration: 1/2/3 years 10 students admitted each year to ensure personal attention for every one. Four students in every batch will be specially trained to run (in pairs of two) more such institutes, to ensure that every institute leads to the creation of two new institutes each year, thus multiplying the number of institutes exponentially.

Helping children of migrant labor Problems faced –No scope for basic education because of constant travel with their parents –Few vocational skills other than manual labor for construction work Solution –Classes held at construction sites to teach them how to read and write –The aim is to make them less susceptible to exploitation –Counsel migrant labor to help overcome day to day problems

Vocational training for children Provide vocational training to children at the institute After graduation, these children have a choice of going back to their village to put their skills to use They can help train others in becoming self reliant Support for graduates who are willing to continue with higher education Syllabus includes –Life skills –‘Jeevan Vidya’ – philosophy of living; expected to help achieve material contentment, mental happiness and social cohesion.
