What is Box Cricket ?
Box Cricket is a variant of and shares many basic concepts with cricket. The game is most often played between two teams each consisting of six or eight players. n terms of the concept of the game is similar to cricket. Box cricket involves two batsmen, a bowler and a team of fielders. The bowler bowls the ball to the batsmen who must score runs. The team with the highest score at the end of the match wins. Despite these basic similarities, the game itself differs significantly from its traditional counterpart in several ways, most notably on the field of play and the means by which runs are obtained.
Why Marathi Box Cricket League?
Maharashtra Kalanidhi, is pleased to announce “Marathi Box Cricket league” (MBCL) featuring our favorite Marathi television & film- Actor & actresses.
Marathi Entertainment industry has already created a boom by winning Oscar awards. Nevertheless now a days we see Marathi actor & actresses all over the entertainment industry, may it be Marathi movies, Bollywood movies, stage plays, Hindi as well as Marathi television.
“Marathi Box Cricket league” (MBCL) is a chance of bringing out the sporty talent out of the stars by connecting Marathi entertainment industry to sports. This will happen first time in India wherein all the known Marathi television & film- Actor & actresses will take a part of such an event.

Each team will consist Of 12 players
Each team will have only 8 players including 2 females and 6 males
Under arm bowling with 5 over match and 8 over for semi-final and final match
20 matches between 10 team on Day1 & Day 2, on 3rd day 2 semi final match followed by the final match
