Click boxes to jump into each step process or choose “User Guide” for step by step guide. Use “BACK” button to view previous slide. Use “ESC” key or “END” button to exit from slideshow. 2 BACKEND USER GUIDE To switch DATA Projector ON: Hold remote STANDBY/ON button pressed for approximately 2 seconds or until fan is heard running. To View Computer : Place INPUT of data projector to RGB Data 1 (press button on remote labeled RGB). To View CCTV programs: Place INPUT of data projector to VIDEO 1 (press button on remote labeled VIDEO). Insure VCR is powered ON. Place VCR on correct channel using channel selector switch. Home User Guide Computer Projector DVD/ VCR Remote Mouse To View VCR/DVD Tapes: Place INPUT of data projector to VIDEO 1. Put video tape or DVD in Deck. Select source and Press PLAY on Deck if video does not automatically start. MORE MCSI

3 BACKEND USER GUIDE – PART 2 Home User Guide Computer Projector DVD/ VCR Remote Mouse To use Remote Mouse: Trigger beneath remote is the left mouse button. The left cursor button near center of remote is the right mouse button. *Laser beam pointer control is button below large round button. To switch DATA Projector OFF: Hold remote STANDBY/ON button pressed for approximately 2 seconds or until light from data projector goes out. Fan will run to cool down LAMP. Switch All Equipment OFF After Use! MCSI

4 BACKEND POWER ON Switch DATA Projector ON –Data projector are needed for every presentation. –Data Projectors need to be POWER ON by their remote control only. –Hold remote STANDBY/ON button pressed for approximately 2 seconds (point towards unit) or until fan is heard running. –Do not press STANDBY/ON repeatedly, this may cause the data projector to lock up. Activate presentation equipment to be used –Use the “ON/OFF switches on each device to Power ON, including the instructor’s PC. –CCTV presentation requires VCR to tune in channel. –PowerPoint presentation requires instructor’s PC. –DVD playback requires a DVD player, some PCs have DVD player on their drives. 5 BACKEND PROJECTOR Operate projector using remote control only. Switch DATA Projector ON: Hold remote STANDBY/ON button pressed for approximately 2 seconds (point towards unit) or until fan is heard running. Do not press STANDBY/ON repeatedly, this may cause the data projector to lock up. Switch DATA Projector OFF: Hold remote STANDBY/ON button pressed for approximately 2 seconds or until light from data projector goes out. Fan will run to cool down LAMP. Select source to display: Press VIDEO to display VCR/DVD/CCTV. Press RGB to display computer screen. Adjust audio levels: Use UP/DOWN volume controls on remote. 6 BACKEND DVD/ VCR On VCR load VHS Tape and use front controls to operate. DVD/VCR combo decks have a remote control. - Not all rooms are equipped with a DVD/VCR combo unit. The basic front control buttons can be use to operate DVD and VCR. To change display source, press the DVD/VCR button on the front. You can tell which side you are controlling by the green DVD or VCR light which shows on the display. Home User Guide Computer Projector DVD/ VCR Remote Mouse Press VIDEO on the data projector remote. To display CCTV use your VCR to tune into assigned channel. Use UP/DOWN arrow on VCR to select channel. Screen will be blue till the scheduled playback time. Adjust volume on Data Projector remote.

7 BACKEND COMPUTER Computer operation is beyond the scope of the tutorial, but there are a few things you should know. Power ON –You will need to turn the computer on and off manually by pressing the ON/OFF switch. Log IN –Use default user and leave blank for password. If no light or too weak, batteries need to be replaced. On other remotes check if batteries are missing. Report problem to Media Technology @ 13189.

11 BACKEND TROUBLESHOOTING Home User Guide Computer Projector DVD/ VCR Remote Mouse Lights other than STAND BY/ON are ON projector Projector has locked. Do not press STANDBY/ON or power off, let the unit idle for about fifteen minutes. Report problem to Media Technology @ 13189.

12 BACKEND TROUBLESHOOTING Home User Guide Computer Projector DVD/ VCR Remote Mouse Data projector does not power up Make sure remote has batteries. Test laser beam on remote. Check if projector Standby light is on. If more than one light is ON, projector has locked. Report problem to Media Technology @ 13189.

13 BACKEND TROUBLESHOOTING Home User Guide Computer Projector DVD/ VCR Remote Mouse CCTV video not playing Check VCR is on and on assigned channel. Check time of movie playback. Projector displays blue screen until movie comes on. Projector should display channel numbers on large screen as you search for the one assigned to you. Make sure source input on projector is on VIDEO. Report problem to Media Technology @ 13189.

For CCTV, press VIDEO input For PowerPoint, press RGB input For DVD, press VIDEO For DVD on PC, press RGB Report problem to Media Technology @ 13189.

Use projector remote to adjust volume Press mute off. Turn computer speakers on. Check PC audio levels on the speaker icon. Report problem to Media Technology @ 13189.

17 BACKEND TROUBLESHOOTING Home User Guide Computer Projector DVD/ VCR Remote Mouse DVD does not play on PC Make sure your PC has a DVD ROM. Try using a different player installed on your PC. Most computers have installed Cyberlink DVD player, RealONe player and Windows Media Player. Report problem to Help Desk @ 13100.
