7 What is the “Apprentice”? American TV reality show, the ultimate job interview for Donald Trump Americans compete in a series of rigorous business tasks which require street smarts and intelligence to conquer Donald Trump, the boss, that they are the best candidate for his companies. In each episode one person is fired and sent home

8 Resources Required * Adjustable according to your specific circumstances 1. Project Outline 2. Judges & Rubric Sheet 3. Audience Worksheet 4. Projector & Speakers 5. Spacious Hall (Auditorium) preferably decorated with the theme

9 Project Content  Developing an existing or new product  Defining your target market – presenting the customer profile  Creating the marketing mix for this product  Product: creating a new product, highlighting product's features, brand name, packaging, service, and warranty  Price: description of pricing strategies - price for customers and resellers, price compared to competitor’s, discounts, credit terms, payment period  Place: how and where the product will be distributed  Promotions: description of promotional strategies including the message, the media selected, special offers, and the timing of the promotional campaigns.- activities related to advertising, personal selling, sales promotion, social media, and publicity. (TV advertisement must be presented) Project Details Your group’s presentation will be shown in front of a panel of judges. Judges will ask questions. Your presentation should include all of the above: model of the product, customer profile, and all of the 4 P’s. TV advertisement will also be presented. Audience members will fill out a worksheet based on the presentations. Media to be used -PPT -Video/Movie -Live advertisement -model/prototype of product Group Size Group (4 – 5) members AKNS Entrepreneurs Week Student Project Subject/Department: Business – Marketing Teacher: Mr. Mohamed Motawea Mrs. Dallal Grade: 12 Date set: Oct. 6, 2013 Submission Deadline: November 17, 2013 Total Marks Available: 30 (10% of ongoing) AKNS Apprentice Competition - The Marketing Mix Developing an existing or new product while demonstrating the Marketing Mix. The project concept was adapted from the Donald Trump show, “The Apprentice”.
