2  Associates in Arts (Northeast Oklahoma,A&M Junior College.)  Bachelor’s in Arts ( Liberal Science; Laurentian University)  H.B.A in Psychology (Laurentian University)  Master’s in Applied Psychology (Laurentian University)  Currently working toward a PHD in Human Studies, also at Laurentian University.

3  Work for Children’s Aid Society (CAS) of the district of Sudbury and Manitoulin.  Mission - ensuring the safety and well-being of children. - Delivering services to children which are sensitive to culture, language and religion. - Providing a safe, permanent, stable, loving environment free from abuse, neglect and exploitation.

4 - Advocating for the necessary resources to meet children’s needs. - Achieving this mission in collaboration with community partners.

5  “It took a long time to decide what to do, but I fell on a career that had everything that I wanted to have in a job: creativity, research, statistics, leadership and helping children.”

6  Program Coordinator  Clinical Manager Access Facilitator  Supervisor  Program Analyst  Currently, Quality Assurance Coordinator.

7  CAS provides child protection services.  Job duties requires, improving the quality of all programs, management of CAS programs, research and training.

8 - Community meetings - Updates on current projects and analysis - Coordinating staff in conducting certain analyses - Monthly report coordination

9  “ Everything, my job is different everyday. I get to work with a range of people within the agency, the community, the province and some times in many different countries.”

10  “Nothing.”  “ I really enjoy every aspect of my job.”

11  “Causes are polyfactorial, that is involve many factors; including social, developmental, psychological, legal, economical, and political.”

12  “Working from an anti-oppression framework; having the ability to use evidence (assessment tools and research) to inform services; motivational interviewing skills; good clinical insight; knowledge about human development.”

13  “Good sound assessment; Assessment battery has to be composed of several sources of information; clinical training; Identification of family’s support; Available community services that can assist; and, Agency to deliver services.”

14  “They perhaps need to know that it takes a community to help families; One agency can not do it alone; Agencies must form collaborations with one another to assist families within the community.”

15  “It all comes from the ministry (government).”
