18 Bob Jones Alleynes High School, Stone in conjunction with www.sln.org.uk/geography www.sln.org.uk/geography GOOD NEWS There have been major improvements in the health of the people of Stoke-on-Trent City over the past 10 years, with noticeable reductions in the mortality from major causes of death and increased longevity. These positive changes suggest that the collaboration between a number of local agencies to plan and work for health gain is bearing fruit. However, changing the health profile of an area is a long-term project and the various joint initiatives taking place will continue to address the key health needs of the local population.
