You will be divided into teams of 3 players. Each group of three will work as a team. If it is your group’s turn to display the vocabulary words and clues to the definition, your whole team will earn points as the “word givers”. The other teams will try to define your word with as few clues as possible.
3
The first team to determine the word’s definition without any clues will get 5 points. The “word giving” team will get no points. If one clue is given, the first team with the correct definition will get 4 points. The “word giving” team will get 1 point.
4
If two clues are given, the first team with the correct definition will get 3 points. The “word giving” team will get 2 points. If three clues are given, the first team with the correct definition will get 2 points. The “word giving” team will get 3 points.
5
The fourth clue is the word’s definition and the “word giving” team will get 5 points. This will be the end of the round for that word. A new team will be chosen to give a word.
6
Confer quietly with each other and have one person from your team write down the word’s definition. Raise up your paper, so your definition can be read by a member of the “word giving” team. If two teams hold up a definition at the same time, the definitions will be read and if one of them is correct, that team will get the points. If both teams have the correct definition, points will be awarded to both of the teams.
