1 SmartCall™ SMS SmartCall SMS by HME Wireless is a great tool to manage your patient workflow through your facility. Using the SmartCall SMS system, staff members are able to provide patients with updates, alert them to go to specific areas, and communicate with other staff members with ease.

2 Certified Web Browsers
Google Chrome – version 23.0 or higher Internet Explorer – version 10 or higher Firefox – version 31.0 or higher Opera – version 23.0 or higher Safari – version 5.1 or higher (Desktop and iPad) The SmartCall SMS website must be utilized by one of the HME Wireless Certified Web Browsers. 3 Registration & Logging In
To access the SmartCall SMS website, enter the provided URL into any of the certified web browsers. To register, click the sign up button and fill out all required fields – your account registration is instant and you can begin using the system immediately. 4 Administration Administration
Select Welcome and choose Administration. In the Administration section, you can: Edit company info Manager Users and update passwords Add / Edit pager numbers and transmitters Add / Edit departments Add / Edit messages Add / Edit users View reports of usage Once you have logged in with your credentials, you will be directed to the SmartCall SMS waitlist home page. To set up your account information, select Welcome and choose the Administration tab. In the Administration section, you can: Edit company info; manage users and update passwords; add and/or edit pager numbers, transmitters, departments, messages, and users; as well as view reports of usage. 5 Updating Account Info Add a company logo.
Once you have clicked on the Administration tab, you will be directed to the Account Information portion of the admin screen. In the Account Information you can add your company logo and modify any account owner information. To make these changes, admin access is required. Updating Account Info Add a company logo. 6 Add / Edit Pagers and Transmitters
Add pager numbers into the respective section. Pagers with full text messages would be Alpha Numeric. Pagers with no display are considered Vibe Only. In the upper right, input the IP address for the HME transmitter. Multiple addresses should be separated by commas. When accepted, each field will give you a green check mark validating your entry. To utilize HME Wireless pagers with the SmartCall SMS system simply add the pager numbers into the respective section and click the green plus sign. A green check mark will confirm that the pager numbers are not duplicate (duplicated). Pagers with full text messages are Alpha Numeric. Pagers with no display are considered Vibe Only. 7 Each list for patient waiting or staff is considered a “Department.”
Input Department Name, select Icon if desired. Assign Minimum and Maximum thresholds. Thresholds determine when the record changes color on the waitlist. Click the + sign to add. Once all Departments are added, their position can be adjusted by clicking on Edit. 8 Administrators can import a file that includes the days appointments.
.CSV and .XLS templates are available to ensure proper field mapping. All imported records will show up as Not Arrived on the Waitlist screens. The import feature can be very helpful for facilities that have scheduled appointments. Administrators can import daily appointment information with ease. 9 Add / Edit Messages Welcome Message
This message is sent whenever a mobile phone number is added to a Wait list. Edit the field inside the phone to craft your specific message. To turn off the Welcome Message slide the green toggle left. Messages cannot contain any special characters (e.g. * @ % ? < > ;). Periods (.) and commas (,) are permitted. 10 Add / Edit Messages Pre-Set Messages
Select a Department from the list on top. Add message(s) that users can choose from to page. Messages for Wait list and Staff lists are managed separately. Take care to ensure messages are entered into the correct table. To edit or delete a message, click on the respective area of the table. 11 Authorized staff members will require user credentials to access the system.

12 Login names can be specific to a person or generic for multiple users (e.g. Front Desk, Back Office). Staff members utilizing shared logins would not be included on this list. 13 The reports tab allows administrators to research or take a deeper look at the daily operations of the system. Multiple reports are available using the dropdown. 14 Once all necessary administrative sections are completed select “exit admin” to return to the Waitlist home page. Set up Complete
