6 6 Proofing Races On The Ballot  First We Proof The Optical Scan Paper Ballots  Our Network Analyst Builds His Database In GEMS (Election Management System For Our Voting Equipment)  The Election Administrator Creates Ballot Worksheet In EXCEL  The Ballots Are Created In GEMS & Each Ballot Style Is Printed Out  Using The EXCEL Spreadsheet Each Ballot Style Is Checked

14 14 Spanish Language Ballots Also Need To Be Proofed  We Use The Ballot Text Report From Our Election Management System For Proofing The Spanish Language Portion Of Our Ballots

15 15 Navajo Language Ballots Also Need To Be Proofed  Voters That Need Navajo Language Assistance Do Not Read Navajo So The Language Shown On The Screen Is English But The Audio Portion Of The Ballot Is In Navajo  Our Voting System Requires The English To Be Entered Again Into The System  We Use A Second English Language Ballot Text Report To Proof The Navajo Ballots

16 16 Proofing The Touchscreen Ballots  The Touchscreen Ballots Are Being Proofed At The Same Time As The Optical Scan Ballots During Our First Round Of Internal Testing  How Does Everything Look On The Screen?  The Audio Portions Of The Ballots Are Reviewed  The Printout For The Voter Verified Tape Is Reviewed
