23 Baptism is to be done in Jesus Name.
“Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:” (Matthew 28:19). Ron Schoolcraft in “A Fresh Look at Matthew 28:19” states that this verse is one of the best verses in the Bible for baptism in Jesus name.

24 Baptism is to be done in Jesus Name.
“What is the name in Matthew 28:19?” The answer is simply, yet profoundly, “JESUS”.

25 Baptism is to be done in Jesus Name.
“The crystal-clear proof is found in the Book of Acts where the apostles obeyed Matthew 28:19 by baptizing in the name of Jesus!” The disciples were not merely asked to repeat a formula, titles, or words. They were told to baptize in the name.

26 Baptism is to be done in Jesus Name.
Every account of baptism in the New Testament Church was done in the name of Jesus. Peter, the first preacher, was given the keys to the kingdom. “And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it” (Matthew 16:18).

27 Baptism is to be done in Jesus Name.
Peter used the name of Jesus in baptism: “Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost” (Acts 2:38).

28 Baptism is to be done in Jesus Name.
Peter used the name of Jesus in baptism: “(For as yet he was fallen upon none of them: only they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus)” (Acts 8:16).

29 Baptism is to be done in Jesus Name.
Peter used the name of Jesus in baptism: “And he commanded them to be baptized in the name of the Lord. Then prayed they him to tarry certain days” (Acts 10:48).

A Further Look at the Scriptures: “And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem” (Luke 24:47).

34 Why Baptize in “The Name?”
His name is above every name. “Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father” (Philippians 2:9-11).

35 Why Baptize in “The Name?”
His name is above every name. “Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come:” (Ephesians 1:21).

36 Why Baptize in “The Name?”
There is salvation in no other name. “Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole. This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner. Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved” (Acts 4:10-12).

37 Why Baptize in “The Name?”
Whatsoever you do should be done in the name of the Lord Jesus. “And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him” (Colossians 3:17).

38 Why Baptize in “The Name?”
We are washed in the name of the Lord Jesus. “And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God” (1 Corinthians 6:11).

39 Why Baptize in “The Name?”
We are to obey God’s Word. “Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost” (Acts 2:38).
