2 Biefstuk met frietjes. Steak with french fries. Steak with French fries for 4 persons: For the meat you need: 4 steaks from the cow: How to make it? Tip: Never bake to much fries in once because there will be a too strong decrease of the temperature of the oil, making the fries absorb too much oil. Serve with green salad, carrots, tomatoes, … as you like.

Stew with French fries and applesauce for 4 persons For the meat you need: 800 g beef 120 g onions 50 g bread 2 tablespoons mustard 2 tablespoons butter 3 tablespoons flour local beer 1 bay leaf salt pepper parsley thyme How to make it? For the applesauce fries you need: 8 aples a splash of water a knob of butter a generous tablespoon of sugar How to make it? Peel the apples and cut them into quarters. Remove the tough core. Put a boiler at medium heat and melt a knob of butter. Also add a splash of water. Stew the apple pieces until they are completely 'flat' cooked. Sprinkle some sugar over the apples meanwhile. Stir occasionally in the simmering apples. Make sure that the fire is not too severe.

4 Chocomousse. Chocolate mousse. Chocolate mousse for 4 persons: You need: 150 ml cream 150 g black chocolate 40 gr granulated sugar 2 egg whites How to make it? Melt the chocolate ‘au bain marie’ (= a boiler of water with another smaller boiler with chocolate in it). Pour the cream into a measuring cup and whisk it stiff. Put in the fridge. Whisk the egg whites in a bowl and add the sugar. Add the melted chocolate to the beaten egg whites and mix very gently with a spoon. Add the whipped cream and mix again very gently with a spoon. Divide into small jars and leave overnight in the fridge.

5 Rijstpap. Rice pudding. Rice pudding for 4 persons: You need: 1 liter of milk 130 g rice 75 g sugar saffron 2 egg yolks vanilla pod cinnamon brown sugar How to make it? Rinse the rice and drain. Put the fresh whole milk on the fire to cook. Add sugar, vanilla pod, cinnamon stick and saffron. Let slip the rice in the milk and keep it for 30 minutes or longer on low heat untill cooked. Take the rice pudding from the heat when he is not too strong, because he will get thicker during cooling. Stir in the egg yolks and stir into the rice pudding. Possibly do a cube farm butter with the warm rice pudding. Serve the rice pudding with brown sugar.
