2 WHO (que) antes vem pessoa The woman who you saw in the street is my mother. The boys who were playing are my sons. Mrs. Jane, who bought this, is very rich. - Obs: The woman that you saw in the street is my mother. The boys that were playing are my sons.

3 WHOM (que, quem) relacionado ao objeto The maid whom (that/who/Ø) they hired is my cousin. The man about whom I told you, came in that shop. The little child for whom I gave a present is Patrick. - Preposições: at, for, with, about.

4 WHICH (que) antes vem animal ou coisa The money which I gave you belongs to Sue. The money that I gave you belongs to Sue. Tell us about the pet which you got. Tell us about the pet that you got. The box in which the toys are is Freds.

5 WHOSE (cujo) possessivo The children whose mother died last year are there. The house whose family sold is huge. Obs.: substitui his, her, their.

6 Why usado para clarificar a razão (porquê): The government doesn't dignify my job, and that's why I feel demotivated. (Why substitui The government doesn't dignify my job que é a razão - responde à pergunta "porquê".)

8 Important! That nunca substitui whose. Who, whom, which e that nunca podem ser omitidos antes do verbo. Ex.: The secretary who brought me flowers is Janet. The secretary brought me flowers is Janet. (WRONG!!)
