INTRODUCTION INTRODUCTION  Carbon forms the structure of all life on Earth.  Carbon dioxide (CO 2 ) is the major greenhouse gas.  Currently atmospheric CO 2 concentrations are increasing at a rate of about 3.2 Pg C per year.  We can control the CO 2 concentration by recycling it and provide more stress on GREEN ENGINEERING. 4/17/2015Copy right reserved by TeamAROHAN 2

METHODOLOGY 4/17/2015Copy right reserved by TeamAROHAN 4 CO 2 capture & storage  Design a suitable bypass duct at the power plant site i.e. near chimney  Estimation of CO 2 gas  Design a gate nano membrane to separate CO 2 from exhaust gas using a force balance approach and reactive multiphase flow.  Capture CO 2 using absorbent (NANO) CO 2 recycling

The conversion of CO 2 to fuel 4/17/2015Copy right reserved by TeamAROHAN 6  CO 2 is that it is a highly stable gas  The new technique enables the conversion of CO 2 into fuels.  The new technique is a suitable alternative.  In the first stage, water molecules are converted to free 'protons' (hydrogen ions), electrons and oxygen gas. Water molecules  In the second stage, free electrons are used to reduce the CO 2 and bind the carbon atoms together using platinum and palladium catalysts. sunlight Ti Catalyst O 2 + H + + e -

WHAT’S NEW???

ADVANTAGES 4/17/2015Copy right reserved by TeamAROHAN 9  CO 2 will not be a problem for green house effect.  Reduction in pollution level  Energy crisis will be solved.  Use of CO 2 in medical field.  Drinkable water obtained.

CONCLUSION CONCLUSION Recycling of CO 2 - a very useful and productive step in controlling global warming and keeping Mother Earth green. 4/17/2015Copy right reserved by TeamAROHAN 10
