1 1 SEARCH ENGINE OPTIMIZATION AT Search engine optimization (SEO) is the process of affecting the visibility of a website or a web page in a search engine's "natural" or un-paid ("organic") search results. In general, the earlier (or higher ranked on the search results page), and more frequently a site appears in the search results list, the more visitors it will receive from the search engine's users. SEO may target different kinds of search, including image search, local search, video search, academic search,[1] news search and industry-specific vertical search engines. Although not a major factor in your overall rankings by the search engines, it plays a part in getting potential customers to click on your link vs. the competitor. H1 Through H3 Tags Use Header Tags as indicators of section headings and subheadings within a document, not just as a formatting element Search engines in particular may just scan your web page for appropriate H!, H2 and H3 elements. These tags identify what is the most important pieces of information on your pages.
