2. We have chosen this topic, because we dance in a folk dance group in our village so we are interested in it.

3. Hungary has a lot of national costumes from different parts of the country:

4. National or czardas costume
This is the first costume that uses the national colours: red, white and green. Women wear a red vest, boots, a crest, a white skirt and a green apron. Men use a brown vest, a white shirt, black trousers and boots.

5. Folk costume of Kalocsa
Young girls pin up their hair and put rose or pale blue ribbon on it. Women’s hair is decorated with embroidered caps. We wear a silver collar of pearls.

8. Folk costume of Mezőség
Women wear long red or black cotton skirts with small flowers. This costume is very simple. Women wore waist-deep, red or black, puckered muslin skirt with red folwers and red or black boots. Girls and women wore underskirts and a black head scarf with red flowers. Girls let down their hair and decorated it with ribbon, women wore their in buns. Men wore blue waiscoat with yellow brass stud, a white shirt, white or grey home-made stockings. They used black boots.

9. Folk costume of Sárköz
This is the most decorated costume of all. The woman’s costume is the richest in mateiral and form. Women wear white blouses. The vests and skirts are very different.

10. Folk costume of Eastern Transylvania
This costume is lighter than the others. Women wear a red vest, a black skirt with green and red flowers and a colourful headscarf.

This is the fanciest folk costume. Girls wear a white, bead drip. This wear is varied very much. They use bare skirts.

12. Folk Dances of Kalocsa Kalocsa has got 3 main kinds of folk dances.
Czardas: this is the easiest dance. The music to it is not too fast.
Fresh czardas: this is different from the simple czardas. It is a fast dance.
‘’Ciframars’’: this is the typical dance in this region. It is really fast and fresh.
