2. To use SPUFI (SQL Processing Using File Input), start a 3270 emulator session and log on to the QA LPAR. Type 3.2

3. Type ‘STUREAD.ITK.SPUFI’

4. Press

5. Type A and ‘@378102.ITK.SPUFI’ where @378102 is your userID.

6. Press

7. You should see ‘Data set allocated’ in the top right corner.

8. End out of 3.2 and you should be back at the ISPF Primary Option Menu

9. Type M

10. Type 12

11. Type 1

12. Type ITK.SPUFI(STUTS) and RESULTS

13. Type CS, 3390, 10, and 25

14. Press, then type COPY

15. Type ‘STUREAD.ITK.SPUFI(STUTS)’

16. Type REC ON

17. Type C @378101 @378102 ALL where @378102 is your userID

18. Check that your userID now appears in the text. Then press.

19. Press to execute the SQL.

20. Note that your results are in a data set called @378102.RESULTS where @378102 is your userID. Then to exit.

21. After you use SPUFI for the first time, your defaults will be saved. So type NO in the CHANGE DEFAULTS field so that you won’t see the CHANGE DEFAULTS panel after every SQL execution.

22. You can now edit, then execute more SQL, or press three times to get back to the ISPF Primary Option Menu.
