How to make this Jeopardy game work for your topic Make sure that as soon as you start editing it to make your own game, you save it under that name. keep the original names as JEOPARDY TEMPLATE so you can get it later and make it into a game for another topic. Enter the name of your jeopardy in the title slide which is right after these set up slides. You’ll need five basic topic areas for your subject. Example: if your course is Basket Weaving 101, then your five topics could be Materials Weaves Making a handle Ending a strand Treating with preservatives In the edit mode, start off by putting in the “topics”. Use the “replace” feature under the “edit” button up top. Then t go to each page that has a question and answer on it and fill them in; make sure the answer on that page is the answer for the question on that page. We have found that is it confusing if we follow the standard Jeopardy format where we give the answer and they must give the question so we just give the question and they give the answer.

How to make this Jeopardy game work for your topic Now just scroll to each page and if it has a “Q#” then just put your question in where the “Q” is. Then in A-D put in the correct answer and 3 distractors (wrong answers). Then drag the red line up and under the correct answer. Save your finished product. When you’re ready to have your class play the game, open that presentation and then hit F5 to put it into the “SHOW mode.

How to make this Jeopardy game work for your topic Se up your teams and have them sit together. Explain the ground rules Assign a score keeper who will watch to see which team raises their hand first for each question and they will also keep track of what team wins what on the board or flip chart.

JEOPARDY GROUND RULES 1) Raise your hand when you want to answer. I will call upon the first hand I see raised. You get one answer; you cannot change or modify it after you have given it. If the first team to answer gets it wrong, they get that score deducted from their total and then the second team that raised their hand gets a chance to answer.

JEOPARDY GROUND RULES One of the questions will read “DOUBLE JEOPARDY”. This just means that this question is worth twice what it is listed for. When all questions are complete click the “Final Jeopardy” button on the bottom. Before they see the question each team must write down how much they want to wager. Then show the question and they write down their answer. They cannot change their wager $$ after they see the question. When the music stops each team reveals what their wager was and their answer.

ANY QUESTIONS???? No? Then let’s play JEOPARDY
