3 Facts about Norway  The capital city is Oslo.  The country’s name come from the Viking word meaning “Northern Way”.  It is a Constitutional Monarchy.  The widest point is 200 miles across. The narrowest is just 40 miles across.  Most Norwegians live within 10 miles of the sea.  It is known for its fjords.  It is called the Land of the Midnight Sun.  The Nobel Peace Prize is awarded in Norway’s capital Oslo.  The paper clip and the cheese slicer were both invented in Norway.
