Comes with a One-Click installation procedure which provides Internet connected users with an easy way to access the camera on a LAN without knowing its IP address, and support for Universal Plug and Play ( UPnP).
The cameras provides full frame rate (30 frames per second) for all resolutions up to 640x480. When using the 206M and mega pixel resolutions, the frame rate will be up to 12 fps.
The camera is shipped complete with a license of AXIS Camera Explorer, providing multi view and manual recording of video.

The AXIS 207 family is intended for entry-level customers. Its main sales channel will be catalog sales and on-line stores. Some sales will also be integrated into larger systems, but this is not the main focus.
The AXIS 207 family is a high quality entry-level network camera for mainstream use, including megapixel technology and wireless options in selected models. It is significantly improved in comparison with the AXIS 206. Key features are:   
MPEG-4 image compression, including motion estimation for optimized bandwidth efficiency with simultaneous Motion JPEG
Built-in microphone for one-way audio
Excellent low light performance down to 1 lux (2 lux in 207MW)
Superior image quality with up to 30 fps in full VGA resolution (207 / 207W) and up to 12 fps in 1280x1024 (207MW)
Using industry compliant standards (3GPP, ISMA, MPEG-4 from simple profile level 0 up to ASP level 5 with motion estimation and AAC audio. Unicast and multicast)
AXIS 207W and 207MW provide wireless communication based on b/g. They also have a wired 10/100 port, which is used to configure the unit and view video. If no wired connection is available, the camera will switch to wireless mode. While in wireless mode, the communication can be secured using WEP (both 64 and 128-bit), WPA and WPA-2 encryption.
AXIS 207MW include a 1.3 megapixel sensor, providing images up to 1280x1024
The 207 is shipped complete with a license of AXIS Camera Explorer, providing multi-view and manual recording of Motion JPEG-based video.

The AXIS 209FD-R Network Camera is designed specifically for the indoor environments in buses and trains, and delivers high quality network video. The camera features effective casing protection, can send an alarm when tampering is detected, and is very compact, being only four centimeters in height.
The AXIS 209FD-R has a rugged, tamper-resistant casing and is built to handle the vibrations, humidity, dust and temperature fluctuations typical for public transportation vehicles. Its design allows easy and flexible installation on ceilings or walls. Sloping surfaces are easily compensated for by horizontal camera adjustment, tilt and rotation of the lens.

The AXIS 221 is a high performance network camera for demanding IP-Surveillance applications providing support for simultaneous Motion JPEG and MPEG-4.
The camera is built around a 640x480 progressive scan CCD, providing the highest grade of image quality without any interlace effects.
Built into an aluminum casing, it features up to 60 frames per second, day/night functionality and a RS-232 serial port with ”pass through” support.
The 9 MB of pre/post alarm memory will provide approx. 5 minutes of 320x240 Motion JPEG-based video at 4 fps.
The PoE functionality meets the standard of IEEE 802.3af Class 2. This means that the camera will inform the switcher/midspan about its power requirement, so that the switcher/midspan can optimize its performance. The use of PoE is recommended for indoor installations only. In outdoor environments, the heater in the camera housing would still require separate power.

This is a vandal-resistant version of AXIS 221 designed for indoor and outdoor use. The housing is IP66 rated and is impact resistant up to 1000kg.
When used in an indoor environment, the camera may be powered using Power over Ethernet. When used in outdoor environments, an additional power supply must be used as the heater and fan cannot be powered using PoE. The camera can be configured to create an event if the temperature is outside of the operational spec of the product.
The camera/lens allow for pan ±180°, tilt ±85° adjustment, and 170° rotation.
It is equipped with serial data communication (RS232), providing an ability to connect to third-party systems, such as access control and intrusion.
The camera contains support for SNMP v1, v2c & v3 MIB-II.

The AXIS 212 PTZ is for indoor use in environments such as shops, receptions, hotels - everywhere you want to survey an area smaller than 150 square meters and need the possibility to zoom in or follow an object. The product provides an overview image of the entire monitored area, as well as instant one-click pan/tilt/zoom control for a close-up view. With no moving parts exposed to regular wear and tear, this camera is ideal for automatic patrolling and also provides effective protection against tampering as no parts can be forcibly moved. This product is designed to be mounted on a wall.
Instant one-click Pan, Tilt and Zoom -- Zooming in from full overview to close-up is instant, in one-step clicks. There’s no delayed reaction. Pan and tilt work in the same instant way.
Sharp resolution maintained whether in Overview or Zoom mode (employs a technique called “oversampling” so that whether the camera is in full overview or in zoom mode, full 1:1 VGA resolution of 640x480 pixels is maintained. This results in a brighter image, more detail and higher contrast.)

These high performance video servers provide full frame rate simultaneously on all 4 channels in CIF mode or full frame rate for all resolutions for a single channel.
Provide an ability to transmit up to 4 analog video signals from static or Pan/Tilt cameras. Alarm input in combination with an extensive pre/post alarm buffer makes this an ideal building block in an integrated security surveillance system. Selected areas of the image can be hidden from view using the “Privacy Masking” function.
Events can be triggered by external devices or by using the built-in Video Motion Detection.
The unit contains both RS-232 and RS-485 serial ports, which may be used for PTZ support. The RS-232 port is also accessible through HTTP, providing basic serial server functionality. PTZ support is achieved by downloading the required driver from and then uploading this into the video server.

AXIS Camera Management can find Axis video products* on local networks using standard methods such as UPnP and Bonjour (formerly Rendezvous) and connect to Axis video products* with known IP addresses on remote networks using HTTP. It can set the IP address, upgrade multiple video devices with new firmware on local and remote networks. It will also show if the video products are reachable or not. It will be available as a standard installable MS Windows XP/2000/2003 application. It will also most likely replace AXIS IP Utility as the preferred installation tool in the professional and high-end segments in installations with 15 or more video devices.

AXIS Video Capture Driver enables video stream input from Axis network video products to third party products, e.g. media servers. This initial version is supported by Windows Media Encoder® included in Microsoft® Windows Media® 9 Series and supports MJPEG streams from most Axis devices.
AXIS Video Capture Driver is configured from the Properties page:
The Network section is where the URL to the desired MJPEG stream is specified. Normally, you will only need to specify the Server address (IP address or domain name) of your Axis device.
The Video section provides configuration of resolution, frame rate and compression in the video stream.
If you are using an Axis device that supports PTZ (pan, tilt and zoom), AXIS Video Capture Driver can be configured to control the viewing during a broadcast or a capture session etc. You must have at least one joystick installed on your system.
