Conference on the Rehabilitation of Youth Offenders – Expanding Horizons On 20 th and 21 st of November, professionals working with youths gathered to learn about the theories, issues and interventions around youth offending and rehabilitation, presented at this conference that SASW co- organized. We are privileged to have distinguished speakers across the region to share their knowledge and strategies in rehabilitating youths. Our own SASW member (Ee Cheng who enjoyed a free ticket to the Conference) had this to say “It is interesting and enlightening to hear from various speakers on their approaches and challenges in working with young offenders such as restorative justice, positive shaming and the insufficient preventive work done with the pre-schoolers and their families. Thanks again :) I have learnt quite a lot during the conference.” The conference was also a wonderful opportunity for our social workers to catch up and network.
