2. We encourage our substitute teachers to learn about district procedures and policies in the following ways: 1. Participate in the “Shadow a Teacher for a Day” program (substitutes new to the district only). 2. Read the Substitute Handbook that is mailed to each district approved Substitute. 3. Review, as needed, the Substitute Teacher’s Information that is e-mailed by AESOP (Substitute Assignment Program) with each accepted job. (This is a brief version of the Substitute Handbook.) 4. Review this Substitute Information PowerPoint that is posted on the District Website.

3. Shadow a Teacher for a Day Individuals who have been certified to act as a substitute teacher for Warren Township Schools, but who have not previously substituted in the district, are encouraged to take advantage of our program allowing a substitute teacher who has obtained his/her district credentials to spend a day with a teacher volunteer in order to become acclimated to the district/school procedures. This opportunity is offered with payment for one day at the substitute rate of compensation.
