2 Leeds University Business School Online Module Enrolment 2014 The Online Module Enrolment website enables you to choose your optional and elective modules for your final year for the 2014/15 academic session. The web site will be open to returning Undergraduate students from May to August 2014. Optional modules can be chosen for students returning into year three/four, from Tuesday 13 th May (12noon) to Friday 1 st August 2014 (midnight). Elective modules will only be available to choose during the period Tuesday 8 th July 2014 (12 noon)- Friday 1 st August 2014.

3 Leeds University Business School Online Module Enrolment 2014 You are advised to complete module enrolment as soon as possible as the system operates on a first-come, first-served basis. You will find some modules reach their limit quickly. Using Internet Explorer (or other browser), log in to the Student Portal at: http://portal.leeds.ac.uk using your usual ISS username and password. Click on the ‘Student Services & Admin’ tab along the top of the main page. Click on ‘Log me into Students Services’ and select the ‘Modules/Timetable’ tab along the top of the page. Follow the links to ‘Module Enrolment’ and follow the instructions for pre-enrolment.

4 Leeds University Business School Compulsory modules Students are required to study 60 credits of compulsory modules. Optional modules Students are required to study 40 credits from the list of optional modules Elective modules Students are required to study 20 credits of elective modules, which may be chosen from the list of optional modules BSc Accounting and Finance Year 3

9 Leeds University Business School ELIGIBILITY FOR AWARD Students will be required to pass at least 100 level 3 credits in order to be eligible for the award of the degree (Caution - to maximise your chances of graduating next summer, you might wish to avoid taking level 1 or 2 modules as electives!)

10 Leeds University Business School GENERAL ADVICE Classification of your degree is based on the better of a 1:1 weighted average or a 1:2 weighted average (i.e. double weighting in your final year). More information about the classification of your degree, including a classification calculator) can be found on the UG website: http://lubswww.leeds.ac.uk/current-undergraduates/course- information/assessment/ http://lubswww.leeds.ac.uk/current-undergraduates/course- information/assessment/ Current second year students who have already transferred to the 4 year industrial or international variant of their programme are NOT required to pre- enrol. Students who are currently seeking a work placement or exchange are advised to pre-enrol as a precaution.

11 Leeds University Business School EXAM RESULTS Exam Results Marks will be made available via the VLE and the Student Services website from Monday 7 th July 2014. Results will NOT be given over the telephone or by e-mail. Return of Assessed Coursework You will be able to collect feedback from assessed coursework from the Undergraduate Reception from midday on Monday 7 th July 2014. Make sure that you bring your student card with you for identification. Any assessed coursework uncollected by Friday 25 th July 2014 will be posted to your permanent home address. Please ensure your details are up to date on your Student Portal.

12 Leeds University Business School RESIT EXAMS The re-sit exam period runs from Tuesday 12 th – Friday 22 nd August 2014. Please do not make any other arrangements for this time until you are absolutely certain that you do not need to take any re-sits. You will be notified by email of your progression status. This will usually be in early July. You will also be advised if you are required to re-sit any modules. If you need to apply for re-sits you can do so from Monday 7 th July 2014. Re-sit applications can be made online via your Student Portal under the Results and Re-sit Application section. Please ensure you are fully aware of all deadline dates. Please remember to check your university email account.
