3. TO WAIT WATCHING Cycle B Will we recognize Him? For they were waiting for him differently, the Jews did not recognize him. We will only recognize him, if we open ourselves to the gift of God DIFFERENT that leads newness, instead of wishing a god-made-to-measure. Where will He come? God comes in our PRESENT, our society, in our interior, for incoherences that we have. We are his “home”. How does He want to find us? He wants to find us working together, in COEXISTENCE. He comes to be one of our HUMAN FAMILY.

FIRST SUNDAY WATCHING WAITING FOR HIM TO COME DOWN 1st Reading: We need that God would tear the heavens open and come down Psalm: Let us pray for Him to show his power and come 2nd Reading: The day of his coming, He wants to find us ready Gospel: ¡STAY AWAKE, because we do not know if it will be TODAY!

6. Psalm 79 is part of the group of Asaph Psalms (72-82) written in the 6th century bC, during the deportation in Babylon, where the displaced people, like so many million nowadays, live badly oppressed and abandoned. That is why they want God to show his power and come to save “his vineyard". We also, at the beginning of Advent, ask God, the Shepherd, to come and renew our lives (or unsatisfactory living conditions).
