E-book formats >Different providers use different formats, and this affects the way you view the e-book >ePub is designed for flowing text, which adapts the amount of words per line to the device being used, or the sized font you choose >PDF is fixed, like an image. If you view a PDF on your phone, youll need to zoom and scroll to read it >Reading panes run within your browser to allow you to view the e- book, and they are usually fixed width too

What can I do with the librarys e-books? >Differs from e-book provider to provider >CSIRO - download a chapter for offline reading – the file expires after 30 days >EBL - only downloads into Adobe Digital editions for 24 or 48 hours – does not save as a file >Ebrary - only view or print – no downloading possible >MyiLibrary - download up to 10 pages at a time >ScienceDirect - download a reasonable portion as a PDF file
