Statutes f. Commandments g. Judgments h. Word i. Truth 4. We need to delight in Gods word ecause of what it can do to us. Psalms:119:35: Make me to go in the path of thy commandments; for therein do I delight. 4.1 Psalm 119:105 Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path. Psalm 119:105Psalm 119:105 4.2 Proverbs 6:23 For the commandment is a lamp; and the law is light; and reproofs of instruction are the way of life: Proverbs 6:23Proverbs 6:23 4.3 Proverbs 10:17 He is in the way of life that keepeth instruction: but he that refuseth reproof erreth. 5 The of God would like us to turn ours eyes away from vanity or emptiness and be made alive in Gods way. Covetousness is inordinate desire for things that are not in our care and keeping. One may covet property. One may covet anothers wife. One may even covet a certain kind of life. Covetousness is the result of misplaced priorities in ones life. Vanity is emptiness; it is the absence of things that have true value. Things that dissipate are vain and empty. Things that become useless are vain and empty. Things that are have no intrinsic worth are vain and empty. Vanity is the ultimate result of wickedness. 9 Rom. 6:23Rom. 6:23, Wages of sin is death. Rom. 6:23 Ro:8:13: For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live. Carnality and backsliding among the Christians will result to a life alienated from GOD. Absence of the Lords guidance and providence. Re:21:8: But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death. Judgment will follow on the basis of having Christ in your life as your personal SAVIOUR. Not on the basis of the goodness youhave done – Ro:3:10: As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one: Ro:3:11: There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God. Ro:3:12: They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one.

John 8:12 Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life. John 8:12John 8:12 The Psalmist understood that if he wanted to delight in Gods word he needed to be devoted to the divine decree, Gods Word.

12 The promises of GOD that strenghtens us...

13 1 Thess. 4:16-181 Thess. 4:16-18, the dead in Christ shall rise first. The inspiration of Gods word. 1 Thess. 4:16-18 1Th:4:16: For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: 1Th:4:17: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. 1Th:4:18: Wherefore comfort one another with these words. 1 Cor. 15:51-581 Cor. 15:51-58, we shall be changed. 1 Cor. 15:51-58 1Co:15:51: Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, 1Co:15:52: In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. 1Co:15:53: For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. 1Co:15:54: So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory. 1Co:15:55: O death, where is thy sting? Phil. 4:8Phil. 4:8, think on these things. Ph'p:4:8: Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

16 Conclusion: Think of what God can do to your life. Think of what God can give to your life if you would give yourself to Him. God offers everyone an abundant life. Let us come to him and follow …. God offers you an ETERNAL LIFE with HIM in heaven!
