4 What will this mean for the FIA?

5 No major regulatory changes No major regulatory changesExcept: -Inclusion of International Standards -Additional procedures -Report to WADA on FIAs and ASNs activities on FIAs and ASNs activities -Possible revision of FIA decisions by WADA

6 But in exchange: -Opportunity to actively participate in world anti-doping improvements -Access to services available for the Code Signatories such as ADAMS -Better image (safety, health, ethics) -More coherence between anti-doping efforts and FIAs position in the international sporting community

7 What will this mean for the ASNs?

8 It will depend on the role of the National Anti-Doping Organisation (NADO) Extract from the future Appendix A: In some countries, the ASN itself will be conducting the Doping Control described in the Regulations. In other countries, many of the Doping Control responsibilities of the ASN are delegated or assigned by statute or agreement to a NADO. In those countries, references in the Regulations to the ASN shall apply, as appropriate, to the NADO.

9 Practically, and in most countries: The ASNs duties will be: -Establishing good relations with its NADO and convincing it to be active in motor sport -Assisting its NADO in all national anti-doping activities run in motor sport -Helping FIA in its anti-doping activity and responsibilities (link with NADO and drivers, etc.) -Making sure its licence-holders are aware of the anti-doping regulations

10 2.DOPING PREVENTION PROGRAMME

11 What has happened since 2006? -Race True campaign in karting in 2006 -Presentation at the FIA CMO Seminar in Bahrain in 2008 -And now, the FIA CMO Seminar in Valencia in 2010… -Well, but in practical terms… nothing has been achieved since 2006.
