Saving Lives: The 6 cents Initiative o Unsafe water and lack of basic sanitation, combined with poor hygiene, contribute to the deaths of more than 1.5 million children under the age of five o These deaths can be prevented with the help of an inexpensive mixture of sugar, salt and water known as oral rehydration salts.
