GE students move into an ESE classroom Significant disabilities – higher levels of interaction w/ typically developing peers ESE students gain better communication skills ESE make academic gains Teaches GE students tolerance and acceptance of disabilities Takes away the fear factor Helps lower performing GE students to practice their skills! MAKES US ALL BETTER HUMAN BEINGS! 8

12 REMEMBER SB 1108 ! 20 hours of ESE training required - Recertification of Teaching Certificate! EVERYONE holding a TEACHING CERTIFICATE must complete! Within five year recertification period! Even.... Mr. Wyrosdick!! EVERYONE! Except ME! I’m retiring! 12
