1 NatWest CricketForce 2008 Projects Workington Cricket Club 4 th, 5 th and 6 th April 2008

2 A series of projects to improve the facilities around the ground has been identified, many with an Environmental / Green theme. Planning & Procurement started NOW – We aim to start these projects in January. NatWest CricketForce weekend will see the completion of many of these (see main plan). We will be hosting an Open weekend 5th and 6th April for all to come along to the club. –Juniors can participate in coaching sessions. –Adults can get involved with the coaching or help with NatWest CricketForce Projects NatWest CricketForce 2008 Projects

3 Pavilion –General Spring Clean, Repair & recover seats / seating build storage area. Ground –General tidy, Composting area & recycling area, 2 nd practice area. Score box –Completion of the NEW Scorebox NatWest CricketForce 2008 Projects

4 General Tidy up – Kitchen –Main Room –Changing rooms –Bar –Repair / Replace damaged seats. Pavilion Internal

5 TV PA & HI-FI –Replace Shelving –Fit Cupboards Pavilion improvements

6 Composting area Retaining Wall Grass Cuttings / Compost heap.

7 Re-cycling area Storage of waste in separate Block built area for Recycling materials, cans, bottles, cardboard etc.

8 Practice area Additional 2-Bay Nets. Concreted inserts for poles. Nets to be the same width & Height as existing nets (2/3rds). Use Flicx Pitches Future Lay Concrete Base & use matting Nets can be dismantles & area used as hard standing for Marquee BBQ etc. (Electricity from Scoreboard.) for bowling machines etc.

10 Completion of the project 4 th 5 th April 2008 Scorebox / Garage Project 2007/08 The details of the Scorebox/Garage project are as follows: The total size will be 24’ x 24’ The building will have an electronic scoreboard To the side of the scoreboard will be a scorers pod The electronic scoreboard will have electronic shutters for security when not in use. There will also be an electronic roller shutter for the garage door The Scoreboard/Garage will have water recycling facilities
