Thermoflow Engineering GmbH Wärme aus gutem Grund. ® Issue of business In parallel Thermoflow Engineering developed an autonomous drilling system (ATS) for drillings up to a depths of 600 meters to gain geothermal power at a reasonable price. For the first time this system allows to open up geothermal power for heating systems at any place at low cost and makes it economical attractive. Thermoflow Engineering develops and sells passive-autarkic heating systems (PAB) based on geothermal power for areas and buildings.

Thermoflow Engineering GmbH Wärme aus gutem Grund. ® Technology I First a hole has to be drilled in ground. In this hole a pressure-tight pipe (called “Erdsonde”) will be installed. The pipe is filled with a fluid (CO²) which contains under pressure. As a result of physical characteristic of the fluid, temperature, pressure and gravitation originates a convector-circuit. Heated gas goes up and gives up thermal energy and condenses. Now the cold fluid drains down in liquid form. Once on bottom the fluid gets heated again, goes up and turns back in the circuit. The passive-autarkic heating system is known since the 80’s as “Heatpipe-Technology” to heat areas and buildings.

Thermoflow Engineering GmbH Wärme aus gutem Grund. ® Technology II After installation of the system there is no need to bring in more energy. The system adjusts itself and is completely maintenance free. The distribution will be carried out by mentioned “heat-pipes” which can be found in floor or walls; depending on wishes of customer and usage. Within this system it is possible to transport thermal energy to the place of usage (heating) without any pumps.

Thermoflow Engineering GmbH Wärme aus gutem Grund. ® Customers gain the following advantages by using PAB and no conventional systems: Advantages over conventional technique and customer usage  by utilising the PAB -system there are NO costs for heating-energy. There is no need for regulation or running control. There are NO operating costs.  The system operates absolute emission free; this includes chances for subsidies. System is tax-free.  long economic life-time; 45 years guarantee for pressure-tightness of “heat-pipe” (Erdsonde); after repair (40% of original costs) again a minimum of 45 years.  lowest operating costs of all known heating systems; thermal energy is inexhaustible.  Fully control of costs by independence from energy market.

Thermoflow Engineering GmbH Wärme aus gutem Grund. ® The usage of the system will be available within thirty months after investment. Status of development As a result of an extensive research, the use of heat-pipes for heating purposes could be patented, as well as the ATS. For these products Thermoflow Engineering uses well tested standard components from market leaders. New developments are only needed in terms of processes, for example in regards to filling of “heat-pipe” with CO2, laying of “heat-pipes” in walls or ground and cooling of ATS. In terms of research and development Thermoflow Engineering co-operates with renowned Business Partners and institutions of relevant fields.

Thermoflow Engineering GmbH Wärme aus gutem Grund. ® Situation on market  fast growing prices for energy; cost of energy in future can not be calculated anymore.  the continuos strength at the emission market and laws on emission force to new investments.  The passive-autarkic heating system can be installed in any solid constructed building. Also later additionally.  long-term and stable returns are possible by contracting.  The passive-autarkic heating can be licensed as ecological compensation. Thermoflow Engineering already applied for this concept.

(without operating costs of pumps) passive-autarkic heating system: Installation, operation Cost saving by use of thermal energy is more than 74 percent!

Thermoflow Engineering GmbH Wärme aus gutem Grund. ® The needed capital for Thermoflow Engineering is 15,75 Million Euro. Capital requirement This amount includes costs for development partners, complete costs of R&D, costs for production units, raw materials, marketing and sales. A detailed business plan is available on demand.

Thermoflow Engineering GmbH Wärme aus gutem Grund. ® Revenues and net profit The expected revenue includes turnover of the development partner. In period 2008 - 2012 the planned revenues will be 126 million Euro. The net profit will be 10,8 million Euro. Positive results are already planned for 2010. Net margin up to year 2012 will be approximately 12 percent after taxes; in following period up to year 2017 it will be approximately 18 percent. A detailed calculation of Thermoflow Engineering is given in the business plan.
