2 Tom Corbett, Governor ▪ Ronald Tomalis, Secretary of Educationwww.education.state.pa.us High School Feedback Reporting A Review… Project Goals The High School Feedback Reporting initiative aims to –Enhance the ability of schools, districts, and PDE to report on the progress of high school students into and through postsecondary education. –Provide educators with aggregate actionable and timely data to raise student achievement by informing and improving their instructional practice and curriculum. The ultimate goal of the project is to increase college readiness and improve student postsecondary performance.

In particular, the following roles are most represented: –Superintendents / Assistant Superintendents –Principals / Assistant Principals –Guidance Counselors –Curriculum Directors –Special Education Directors

HS Feedback Agreements are being processed on a rolling basis. For the agreements… –The Superintendent must complete and sign the overall agreement. –Each person that is to be granted access must completed and sign an Access Agreement (last page). –LEAs can add more individuals to their original list by having the additional individuals complete an Access Agreement. –Information (Including the Agreement) can be found on our podcast at http://video.paiunet.org. Look for “PDE Podcasts.”

8 Tom Corbett, Governor ▪ Ronald Tomalis, Secretary of Educationwww.education.state.pa.us High School Feedback Reporting Next Steps Work is being completed by PAIUCC and PDE to develop key questions that will help LEAs further integrate HS Feedback with the Comprehensive Planning Process. We are looking ahead to next school year and are asking IUs to work with their LEAs to obtain “Feedback on HS Feedback”. –We may not be able to implement every LEA suggestion due to data or policy limitations. –However, understanding trends as to what LEAs recommend will allow PDE to begin planning for the next iteration of reporting and exploring possibilities for expansion.
