Definition PC Globe is an atlas for MS DOS and Microsoft Windows was released in 1993. Distributed on floppy disk, the program is divided into several menus that allows one to access the data. The database includes a geographic map of the world, with the possibility to select the country of interest.

The Functions Statistics for the countries can readily be contrasted. Statistics include: population, age distribution, population growth, population density, percentage of urbanization, area, languages, religions, health statistics, government, culture, education, agricultural products, manufactured goods, tourist information and others.

Advantages PC-Globe does not allow the user to either enter or edit data concerning the countries in its “database”. To make easier research and find a lot of information we may be looking for. Using PC-Globe will allow the user to solve such problems as: “Which country in the world spends the most money (% of GNP) on education?”, etc.

Disadvantage PC-Globe allows users to issue commands to manipulate the data in order to request information.
