Validation pilot – workshop delivery Allocation of one day workshop conducted by providers on the HWA multi use list (MUL) Delivered at foundation and intermediate level Post workshop participants completed the 2 nd SAT Returned to clinical environment to supervise students and complete 3 rd SAT 4 weeks later 12

Innovation in clinical supervision Support clinical supervision across all locations and healthcare provider disciplines Establish consistent and transparent approach to the provision of quality clinical supervision Provide a benchmark against which organisations can assess investments in clinical supervision training Provide a benchmark for clinical supervision performance Provide the basis for the development of self assessment tools to enable supervisors to identify training needs and to confirm and/or further develop competency 13

Links to BPCLE The BPCLE Framework was developed in Victoria as a guide for health services, in partnership with education providers, to coordinate and deliver high-quality clinical placements for health learners The BPCLE Framework ensures the creation and maintenance of positive education cultures and assist organisations to improve the student experience through strategies and mechanisms that monitor the quality of the clinical education environment 15
